Job Description
THE POSITION:
The Accounts Receivable Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems, and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of managing a team and ensuring the company’s working capital goals are met. This role may oversee corporate credit risk in the future.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
* Lead and supervise a team of collectors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
* Manage corporate collection strategies to minimize delinquent accounts and improve cash flow.
* Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action.
* Communicate with customers via phone, email, and letters to resolve billing issues and secure payment.
* Proactively communicate with leadership to understand significant collection issues.
* Prepare regular reports on collection activities, outstanding receivables, and cash flow projections for senior management.
* Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
* Ability to assess and analyze financial data in order to manage and maintain corporate credit risk.
* Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values. In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:
* Responsible for on-going training and upholding best practices within the collections department.
* Interview, select and supervise the activities of the Collections team; communicate, interpret and discuss with the team the significant financial objective.
* Determine individual objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives, discuss appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
* 3-5 years of related work experience.
* Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company in an articulate, professional manner.
* Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
* 3-5 years people management experience.
* Ability to understand the needs of a multi-company environment.
* Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
