Psychologist – Community Mental Health Service, South Dublin City
CPL Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, is currently recruiting for a Psychologist for a long-term locum assignment on behalf of the community mental health service based in South Dublin city.
This role is part of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and will involve significant assessments and short-term therapeutic input with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
Key roles and responsibilities:
1. Psychological assessments, including the administration of particular psychological measures and standardised tools in the assessment of mental health, personality, adaptive and intellectual functioning.
2. Developing psychological formulations and providing short-term psychological input, informed by a variety of therapeutic approaches, in particular, cognitive analytical therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
3. Involvement in multidisciplinary activities such as individual care planning and reviewing, and in the development of referral and discharge processes.
4. Providing consultation and support to the team in developing psychological formulations, and in the application of such to organisational issues too.
The Candidate:
1. A recognised qualification as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
2. Candidates qualified outside the Republic of Ireland are required to hold validation of their qualifications with the Dept. of Health & Children.
3. Experience in Adult Mental Health is essential; placement experience will be considered.
4. Permission to work in Ireland.
5. Professional approach to work.
6. Flexibility in work practice.
