Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Environmental Science, Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Energy and Planning.
FT is recruiting a Senior Project Environmental Scientist who will work as an integral member of the Energy and Planning team in either the Dublin, Cork or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the environmental business and working closely with fellow professionals.
FT's Responsibilities
The Senior Project Environmental Scientist will, amongst other things, be responsible for:
* Working closely with senior staff in delivering the workload assigned
* Delivery of individual projects from conception to execution
* Ensuring that all deliverables meet the expected quality levels and are delivered on time and within budget
* Coordination and completion of Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation, and other environmental assessment/monitoring reports
* Provide environmental technical assistance to the business
* Assisting with the preparation of proposals
* Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals
Skills / Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline
* A minimum of 5-7 years post-graduate experience in an environmental or waste management position
* Chartered status in relevant discipline is desirable
* Excellence knowledge of planning, environmental and waste management legislation
* Proven track record in contribution to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projects
* Excellent attention to detail
* Be flexible and a good team player
* Excellent report writing and technical skills
