We're on the hunt for a dynamic professional to join our team as a Group Health and Safety Officer. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for providing Health and Safety guidance, implementing (new) initiatives and procedures, reporting, delivery training and related administrative tasks. Expectations Promote a positive and proactive culture towards health and safety across all sites. Provide advice on Health and Safety related matters to managers and employees as and when required. Routinely travel to other sites to conduct Health and Safety visits and audits. Systems Assist with the development and implementation of the Groups Health and Safety Management systems across multiple sites. Assist with the development of the company's online Health and Safety management system. Reporting and Compliance Support business managers and their teams to ensure risk assessments and standard operations are in place across the business units to ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment. Keep the site Managers informed of statutory Health and Safety requirements, ensuring compliance with all legislation and regulations (ROI & NI). Ensure in depth completion of accident and incident investigations and devise strategies and guidance to target improvements. Prepare monthly Health and Safety reports. Collate accident and incident statistics and to actively seek to reduce accident statistics across all sites. Ensure contractors' codes of practices are up to date and adhered to. Training Ensure all Health and Safety training is implemented and maintained across the business units. Provide training to personnel in the use of Health and Safety systems. Conduct effective Health and Safety inductions with new members of staff.
