Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Client side / Developer side role)

They are growing their commercial team, and this is an outstanding career opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant or Junior level Quantity Surveyor to join their team
About the Role:
You will work closely within a wider commercial team of experienced Quantity Surveyors, gaining invaluable hands-on experience across a range of exciting projects. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities.
* Support the valuation of work completed and the preparation of interim valuations.
* Assist in the management of sub-contractor accounts, including payment applications and variations.
* Contribute to the preparation of cost reports and financial forecasts.
* Assist in the procurement of materials and sub-contractors.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Assist in the preparation of final accounts.
* Conduct site visits and measurements.
* Assist with tender analysis and preparation of tender reports.
* Work closely with project managers and site teams.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or currently working through your QS / Construction economics degree qualification)
* 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a consultancy / Developer or contracting environment.
* Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Knowledge of construction measurement software is an advantage.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
