Job Summary:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to address key EHS risks in a pharma company's manufacturing site. This role involves managing internal EHS audits, creating an EHS curriculum, providing technical advice, leading incident investigations, and driving the EHS agenda forward.
Responsibilities
1. EHS Strategy Development: Manage the development and execution of comprehensive EHS strategies to address key risks for the business.
2. EHS Audit Management: Lead the internal EHS audit program, ensuring practical solutions are identified to deficiencies raised.
3. EHS Curriculum: Develop and manage the EHS curriculum for the site, ensuring all employees have necessary information and training to work safely and environmentally responsibly.
4. EHS Expertise: Provide sound technical advice on all EHS matters as the subject matter expert.
5. Incident Investigation: Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
6. EHS Leadership: Influence and engage at all levels to drive the EHS agenda forward, improving cultural maturity and promoting EHS Leadership Excellence.
7. Risk Assessment: Manage the site risk assessment program, identifying and assessing EHS hazards for all activities and tasks conducted on site.
8. EHS Budgeting: Deliver value for the business through planning and monitoring of EHS budgets for operational and capital expenditure.
9. EHS Data Analysis: Collect, report, and diagnose EHS data to identify trends and areas for focused improvement.
10. Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulatory agencies, identifying and managing all EHS legal requirements for compliance.
11. EHS Change Control: Manage the EHS element of the site change control program, evaluating EHS requirements for new projects and processes.
Requirements
1. Educational Background: Minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an EHS related discipline.
2. Work Experience: At least 3 years managing EHS in a production environment, preferably in the pharma cGMP environment.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
4. Senior EHS Experience: Proven track record as a Senior EHS Manager in a pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing environment.
5. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance procedures, publications, and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
6. Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex problems using semi-standardized solutions, requiring ingenuity and analysis.
