The Purpose of the Role
As a Shift Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for all matters arising in Operational activities on your shift, as well as all people's management activities within your rostered team. You will champion and drive the core values of the company and act as a leader to your team.

Work Schedule
Compressed Work Week within a 4-shift cycle, 12-hour shifts (day & night including weekends)
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Performance Management - acting as first point of contact for all complaints and carrying out grievance and disciplinary procedures as relevant
Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly one-2-one meetings for overall team
Managing all escalation's that may arise within your area
Accountable for the creation of communications and distribution to all employees in conjunction with the Director of Operations and HR Department
Softworks System Administration - Responsibility for all timesheet creations, amendments and approvals
Absence Management & Approve shift changes, vacation approval and organisation of coverage, absence coverage and overtime needs - reflecting as relevant in Softworks
R&R Administration
Performance Reviews and Ratings
Involved in internal and external recruitment, candidate identification, interviews and offer recommendations
Liaising with the HR Department on a regular basis
Safety
Manages safety training requirements
Safety incident/accident investigation
Owns safety for all areas on shift
Own investigation on accidents / incidents and sign off for delivery to insurance company
Accountable for ensuring spec adherence is maintained, and that safety and quality requirements remain a focus at all times
Accountable for area understanding of required safety standards and compliance to training requirements
Accountable for SCUBS and AAR's
Quality
Runs Ops meeting and owns AR's (Actions Required)
Champions Metrics (assign overall responsibility for Metrics)
Gathers performance management data
Rotating attendance at area pass down meetings
Create documents from learnings and complete training
Review all AR Creations & Analysis
Present area KPI's to Customer
Populates Dashboard
Presents focus meetings/stand-downs/toolbox talks
Owns data collection and report management
Drives core values
Accountable and mentors on root cause analysis
Monitor group training inclusive of direct reports
Customer
Primary Customer POC and delivery of priority changes to service and team.
Monitor and control customer dashboard with comms and general interaction
Attend Customer meetings
Any other duties as reasonably required as part of the role.
Role Requirements
Level 7 Management qualification desired but not essential
Experience in a leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment or similar industry
Ability to prioritise and maintain oversight across several functional areas
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office - with working knowledge of Excel
Working knowledge of Time & Attendance system management and functional use
Ability to wear PPE in a Cleanroom environment
100% compliance with all safety and protocol specs and regulations
Physical Requirements
Have strong physical stamina to have the ability to stand, stoop, walk and reach for the duration of a 12-hour shift (breaks excluded)
