The Source to Pay Business Data Analyst will support data, reporting, and analytics activities across the Source to Pay space (Procurement, Purchase to Pay, Third Party Risk Management) to achieve the goal of significant cost reductions and operational improvements, by conducting analyses on a combination of internal and third party data, and researching trends in emerging technologies and relevant supply markets.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyse complex datasets to draw key insights and translate these into commercial recommendations.
2. Exhibit strong commercial acumen, and the ability to identify drivers of business demand and costs.
3. Become an authority on S2P data, showing passion for helping business partners to understand how data can be used to improve their business processes.
4. Perform detailed analysis to identify trends and patterns, evaluate performance, risk, and compliance, and to support S2P management with insights and recommendations to make data driven decisions.
5. Support category owners with evaluation of their category spend data, prioritization, and development of a pipeline of opportunities to reduce costs. Conduct research on supply markets, price benchmarks, and supplier profiles to inform the vendor selection process, helping to ensure best price.
6. Develop, maintain, and optimise reporting and analytics solutions.
7. Proactively seek new information sources, research technology and trends, and network with peers and thought leaders to contribute to the evolution of the team and to ensure we stay at the forefront of commercial and analytics topics.
8. Build and exhibit deep expertise in Source to Pay processes, understanding market dynamics, business challenges, and goals.
9. Be a strong partner, working across teams and contributing to team culture.
Basic Requirements:
10. English fluency and ability to negotiate in English.
11. Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
12. 3 years of relevant commercial finance/ business analyst experience.
13. Familiarity with at least one area of Source to Pay (Procurement/Purchase to Pay/Third Party Risk Management), including relevant data and processes.
14. Strong modelling, analysis, and visualisation skills (e.g. PowerBI, SQL, SAP).
15. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
16. Strong business acumen (understanding how our industry operates, our value chain, our customers, what the data means to the business, etc.).
17. Exemplary interpersonal skills.
