On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Financial Accountant.About the Role: The Financial Accountant will work with the finance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations, this role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls while contributing to strategic financial planning. Specific Duties & Tasks: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for group submissions.Liaise with group finance teams to ensure alignment with reporting requirements.Prepare annual financial accounts, maintain detailed audit files, and manage the year-end audit process.Ensure accuracy of all statutory returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns.Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with management, tracking performance against targets.Update and implement business policies and accounting practices, enhancing the finance departments overall policies and procedures.Monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.Assist in providing cover for finance team members as required.Support financial growth planning through strategic cost analysis and pricing models.Develop an understanding of compliance within the Financial Services industry.Prepare and submit information for monthly payroll processing.Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.Establish and develop relationships with senior leadership teams and external stakeholders.Contribute to finance projects related to costing, pricing, and strategic analysis. Skills & Expertise: Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.Knowledge of the Financial Services industry is advantageous.Strong analytical skills with sound decision-making abilities.Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
