Job Summary:
As a Purchasing & Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimising procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient inventory control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
* Manage inventory levels to prevent material expiration and optimise stock control
* Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate the best terms
* Evaluate compliance with purchasing procedures and industry standards, including ISO 9001:2015 & FSSC 22000
* Maintain and update key reports, costings, and production planning schedules
* Collaborate with operations and finance teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 3+ years' experience in purchasing/planning within an industrial manufacturing setting
* Strong ERP and Microsoft Excel skills, with a keen eye for detail and numbers
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
