Pharmacy Manager - Buyer
We are seeking a highly experienced Pharmacy Manager – Buyer to join our team and oversee the sourcing and procurement of OTC / Front of Shop products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned multi-site pharmacy store manager or senior store manager with strong OTC experience and purchasing/product ordering expertise.
The successful candidate will develop and implement a buying business strategy, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and source new product ranges to ensure best price and customer satisfaction.
The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively with area managers and financial controllers.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in independent retail management at a multi-site level or pharmacy OTC buying/category management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing the buying business strategy for OTC and Front of Shop products
* Negotiating pricing, margin, terms, and availability with suppliers
* Sourcing new product ranges to ensure best price and customer satisfaction
* Managing all categories through company systems and analysing findings
* Liaising regularly with area managers and financial controllers on sales, targets, and feedback
The role offers a great work-life balance, with office hours from 9am to 5:30pm and flexible agile working up to 2 days per week. Head office based in North/South Dublin.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 3+ years' experience in independent retail management at a multi-site level or pharmacy OTC buying/category management
* Solid understanding of the pharmacy industry and retail pharmacy
* Experience in negotiating price and margin with suppliers
* Highly organised individual who can prioritise and manage tasks
* Ability to question data, use initiative, be self-directed, and proactive
* Commercially driven with excellent acumen for numbers and margin
* MS Office skills with strong Excel skills
