Responsibilities:
1. Prepare month-end management accounts accurately and timely, focusing on inventory and sales reporting.
2. Manage the Standard Costing system and refine standard labor times & costs.
3. Understand and report on key drivers of sales, gross profit, and cost performance, ensuring meaningful insights.
4. Analyze overhead expenditure monthly, comparing against budget and forecast.
5. Assist in drafting the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
6. Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to develop improvements reducing exposure to excess and obsolete inventory.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with management accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing. Proven expertise in managing product costing systems and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing variances and inventory management are essential. Experience in ERP implementation and continuous improvement/Lean methodologies is also desired.
