What does a great Brand Content Manager do?
The Brand Content Manager plays a leading role in the Brand Content & Design team. You are responsible for creating impactful and entertaining content for some of our biggest marketing programs, including thought leadership, product launches, and events.
The Brand Content Manager works with stakeholders from across the organization including marketing, design, product marketing, PR, and internal comms. You’ll brainstorm content ideas, create campaign content, and provide feedback and guidance to other content creators (within the brand team and beyond).
Responsibilities include:
1. Copywriting: You’ll put your passion and flair for writing to good use in this role. You’ll gain a deep understanding of complex topics and articulate them in a clear, concise, and entertaining way through your writing.
2. Content Creation: Creating truly excellent content in many formats — video scripts and storyboards, articles, research reports, social media content, advertising, infographics, op eds…you name it. When marketing managers have a campaign plan, you’ll give recommendations for the best format the content should take.
3. Brand Content Governance: You will help ensure brand content consistency across the business. This means running tone of voice training with various departments and providing feedback to other content writers on the brand team, marketing team, and third-party agencies.
4. Processes: You’ll work with the Head of Brand Content & Design to identify any issues in the content creation process and suggest improvements. This may include process improvements around briefing, approval processes, new software requirements, etc.
5. Best Practice: You will run workshops on content best practices and content review sessions to ensure the best possible quality of content output from the team.
6. Design: You’ll work very closely with our in-house design team and external agencies to ensure content design is of the highest quality.
7. Line Management: Managing a copywriter, offering coaching, performance management, and general line management duties.
Who we are looking for in this role:
* 6+ years’ experience in a content/copywriter role, including experience as a senior copywriter or content manager.
* Experience managing projects and liaising with key stakeholders on projects. The ability to lead, take initiative, and be proactive and independent in getting work over the line is essential.
* Excellent copywriting skills, both longform (e.g. articles) and short form (e.g. video scripts, social posts).
* Ability to accept feedback from multiple stakeholders and take that feedback on board.
* Experience working with design teams and providing crisp, clear briefs. Design experience is a plus — Adobe Creative Suite/Canva.
* Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Experience working in travel or tech is a bonus, but not essential. If you’re a quick learner who is interested in communicating complex topics in an entertaining way, you’ll excel in this role.
Our ambition is to hire for potential not just experience, and you’re likely to succeed if you:
* Are always ready to give it your all and deliver high quality work.
* Are excited to use your creativity and innovative thinking to try new things.
* Take responsibility and own your work.
* Are courageous and ambitious to challenge what’s been done before.
These are just a few of our employee’s favourite benefits/perks…
Competitive base salary, annual bonus, private medical insurance, very generous holiday allowance and more!
