Our client, the Land Development Agency (LDA), is a key Government Commercial Semi-State Body. The LDA delivers social and affordable housing on State and other lands.
The agency is advancing work on over 20 State land sites, capable of delivering more than 5,000 homes. It also works with the private sector on an initiative called Project Tosaigh, yielding a further 5,000 homes.

The Role
The Construction Lead reports to the Head of Construction and drives the LDA's construction delivery.
This role is a member of the management team for the overall construction team and has people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Focusing on Direct Delivery & Project Tosaigh projects, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and in line with quality requirements.
2. Providing leadership and management support to relevant LDA staff in delivery of their tasks.
3. Maintaining an open mindset and providing support to manage ongoing change and development within the staff, stakeholders, and projects.
4. Ensuring high levels of communication and coordination with stakeholders, partner organisations, designers, and contractors.
5. Protecting the Agency's interests through expertise in capital works procurement and contract design.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Degree qualified with a minimum of 10 years' experience in delivering construction/development projects.
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale residential construction projects on-time and on-budget.
* Experience of SHEQ obligations for construction projects.
* Team leadership and management skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Pre-construction experience regarding efficiency and value engineering.
