The Fitzgerald Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction and quantity surveying to join our dynamic team.
Job Description: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, execute, and finalise construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
2. Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
3. Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
5. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
6. Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
7. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
8. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
9. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost management.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Professional certifications such as PMP, MRICS, or similar are highly desirable.
