As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Operations Director (COD) to take the lead on my clients business Role Overview: The Chief Operations Director (COD) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that all aspects of their projects run efficiently, on time, and within budget. The COD will work closely with other senior leaders to implement strategic initiatives, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while monitoring 100 employees This is a key leadership role that requires a deep understanding of construction operations, project management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership Oversee all operational functions including project management, procurement, logistics, quality control, safety, and customer service. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the companys long-term goals and vision. Ensure that all roofing and cladding projects are delivered on schedule while working alongside Operation Managers in the business Process Optimization Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Lead initiatives for operational excellence, including the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve productivity. Oversee supply chain management to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Project Oversight Monitor the progress of key projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, safety regulations, and contractual obligations. Collaborate with project managers to resolve issues and remove obstacles that may impact project delivery. Ensure proper resource allocation across projects, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Team Development & Leadership Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Financial Management Work closely with the finance team to ensure operational budgets are adhered to, and financial performance is optimized. Analyze operational performance data, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to the CEO and board of directors. Stakeholder Communication Serve as a liaison between operational teams, executive leadership, and external partners such as suppliers, contractors, and clients. Represent the company in meetings with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Qualifications: Experience Minimum 810 years of operational leadership experience, ideally in the construction space. Proven track record of successfully managing exterior projects, from inception through to completion. Experience in managing diverse teams, budgets, and complex project timelines. Skills Strong knowledge of construction, techniques, and industry best practices. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and drive operational improvements. Expertise in project management, with a focus on cost control, scheduling, and resource management. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and use insights to improve performance. In-depth understanding of safety regulations and industry compliance standards.
