Seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join the team and contribute to the continued success and growth of the business.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The role encompasses managing the finance functions for operations in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the finance department for Ireland and provide oversight for Northern Ireland operations.
Prepare and present monthly and annual management accounts.
Deliver detailed management reports and financial analyses with actionable recommendations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines.
Analyse costs, pricing, sales results, and overall company performance.
Cost Management & Financial Strategy
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Manage cashflow and debtor control in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
Prepare and oversee business plans, grant applications, budgets, and forecasts.
Liaise with government bodies regarding grant opportunities.
Compliance & Administration
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including VIES and Intrastat.
Manage corporate insurance and credit insurance policies.
Liaise with external auditors and other stakeholders.
Maintain and improve internal control policies and procedures.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA/ACA, CPA).
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proven experience with month-end closing and preparation of management accounts.
Skills & Competencies
Advanced financial data analysis skills, with experience in tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Proficient in accounting systems, with a preference for Intact IQ or SAGE.
Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic insights.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Results-driven with a track record of successfully managing projects and meeting deadlines.
