Bookkeeper CREGG are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our clients team in Portlaoise.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for assisting with a broad range of accounting tasks and liaising with staff across different departments.
Key Responsibilities: Accurately recording income, expenses, and other financial transactions for all divisions in the organisations accounting system.
Ensuring bank statements align with recorded transactions.
Preparing and issuing invoices to clients for services provided.
Tracking bills to be paid and payments to be received.
Handling employee salaries, deductions, and taxes, especially given different staffing needs across divisions.
Assisting the accountant with any ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills: 25 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software.
High level of attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., ATI, AAT, CAT or ACCA) is preferred.
Experience in processing payroll, including tax deductions and compliance.
