Position: Financial Accountant in Shannon, Ireland
Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the organisation; control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, system and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. This role will involve daily interaction with the US and China Accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts.
2. Handle payroll, taxation, and compliance returns.
3. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
4. Submit environmental compliance submissions.
5. Collaborate with external taxation advisors on corporate tax returns.
6. Work with external co-sec and legal advisors.
7. Liaise with external auditors for audit and management purposes.
8. Provide financial insights to internal stakeholders to support business growth.
9. Assist Finance Director in corporate restructuring.
10. Contribute to annual budget preparation and help Managing Director formulate 3-year plans.
11. Perform additional duties as required.
Required Skills:
1. Fully Qualified Accountant.
2. 6+ years relevant work experience in a similar position.
3. Exposure to Irish and US GAAP.
4. Prior experience with Sage Micropay payroll software is essential.
5. Knowledge of Great Plains or previous experience working with different accounting packages.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
7. Experience in project work, data analysis, and creation of process improvement initiatives.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial in this role.
10. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage key finance deliverables.
11. Experience with group reporting, including consolidating reporting packages.
