We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Centre Contracts Manager to join our client, a leading provider of smart, energy-efficient Indoor Air and Critical Air Solutions
Role Purpose:
Serve as the primary contact for all mechanical requirements within the Data Centre environment, ensuring effective management, compliance, and operational excellence
Job Responsibilities:
Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and the Client / Data Centre Owner.
Use CMMS to create work orders for tasks carried out on-site, including recording hours & comments on all scheduled PMs ensuring compliance is achieved at all time.
Review/approve all submitted vendor documentation (method statements & risk assessments) relating to mechanical/control systems before any works starting on site via the approved process.
Review equipment failures/activity and deliver detailed root cause analysis and post-mortem reports. Provide site-specific Mechanical systems training to the Mechanical team. Assist in developing and training technicians to ensure robust succession plans for the Data Centre team. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and appropriate PPE when required.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Mechanical Qualification to trade level (degree preferred). In-depth understanding of data centre environments and associated operational restrictions. Expertise in mechanical/control systems, including HVAC, BMS, and fire suppression systems. Understanding of advanced software and protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy with the ability to compile operational reports and trend analysis. Capability to manage escalations with ambiguity and deliver timely resolutions. Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management abilities.
