About the Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development and support of a CI/CD platform within a dynamic technology environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on CI/CD projects and a passion for leveraging the latest technologies. This role focuses on managing and optimizing build and delivery pipeline tools deployed on-premise, including GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and various security and monitoring tools.
You will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting pipeline issues, proactively identifying and implementing improvements to enhance performance. Close collaboration with development teams is essential to ensure seamless integration of CI/CD processes into their workflows, supporting an efficient and secure software development lifecycle.
The team operates across multiple locations, including teams based in different countries. The CI/CD team is dedicated to delivering a seamless and efficient user experience while ensuring high-quality and secure code deployment. Optimized build and delivery processes are critical for both internal development and external client deployments, making platform reliability and performance a key focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to development teams on Jenkins Kubernetes instances
* Develop new CI/CD pipelines and maintain existing pipelines (Groovy script Jenkins Libraries)
* Perform maintenance and updates on key tools, including SonarQube, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Coverity, and Blackduck
* Integrate tools within legacy and on-premise Kubernetes stacks
* Contribute to defining CI/CD workflows within cloud environments
* Collaborate with the CI/CD team to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive toolset (monitoring, security, logging, etc.)
* Document processes and share knowledge across teams
* Provide third-level support and issue resolution as required
Experience/Requirements
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
* Experience working on global projects with distributed teams
* Ability to adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions
Education & Preferred Qualifications
* A third-level qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline
* Strong expertise in DevOps practices, automation, and configuration management tools
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and SonarQube
* Experience developing web applications using Java, JavaScript, and the Spring Boot framework is advantageous
* Proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker
* Knowledge of Kubernetes deployments, specifically using ArgoCD / Helm
* Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
* Strong Linux system administration experience within enterprise IT environments
* Scripting expertise in Bash and Groovy
Remuneration Package
A generous daily rate in line with experience will be on offer to suitable candidates.
