About the Role This role works within the global law firm's business development & marketing team to provide comprehensive business development support to our Dublin office.
The team works closely with partners and fee earners to harness relationships and identify new business opportunities to grow the firm's work and client-base.
Taking an integrated approach to marketing & business development, the team brings together regional and practice group expertise to maintain, grow and support client relationships and law firm referral relationships.
Primary responsibilities include:
Working with the BD Manager, wider team and practice groups to support the development and implementation of BD plans and budgets.Support the global BD & Marketing team and partners to translate practice group goals into specific BD tasks.Support on the identification and pursuit of opportunities to develop new and existing clients.Support and execute on BD trips, ensuring that the purpose and objectives of those trips are scoped and agreed, the team is fully briefed and follow-up actions are captured and implemented.Develop an awareness and understanding of the firm's key messages, business activity and pipeline.Support the BD Manager and partners on the analysis and identification of market and client developments and follow through with new business opportunities.Support on the coordination of legal directory submissions with the lawyers and help the partners prepare for interviews with legal directory researchers.Proactively encourage and manage lawyer involvement in marketing activities.Work with the Events team to oversee and execute on practice group events and conferences.Support on the management of corporate associations and ensure lawyer engagement in association events and initiatives; build on these relationships to develop and maximise leads.Work with partners, BD Manager and wider team as required to pitch for new business opportunities, draft or co-ordinate the writing of pitch documents and credential statements.Engage in all relevant internal business development meetings and provide appropriate support, including market research, targeting activities and post-event reporting.CRM database management, reporting and tracking and continuous analysis of competitor activity.Support, as required, the global Business Development & Marketing team on projects and initiatives for the benefit of the wider team and Group.What You Bring A professional qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred.Over two years' experience in a marketing/business development role in professional services with knowledge of the finance/legal industry.Experience of operating in a matrix organisation.Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure.Strong event management and sponsorship activation experience.Strong relationship management skills and the ability to understand and respond to the needs of internal stakeholders.A team player with the ability to build relationships within the BD & Marketing team locally, regionally, and globally.The ability to build networks with partners and staff at all levels and influence effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Strong project, organisational, time management and administrative skills.Experience with InterAction or similar CRM systems; with experience in maximizing the data value, as well as being highly proficient in MS applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with email marketing software package EMS or similar would be an advantage.Benefits & Rewards Hybrid Working.Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental and optical).Competitive vacation packages.Educational assistance and professional development programmes.Savings or pension plan.Life insurance.Travel insurance.Global mental wellness programme.Sports clubs and social events.About Maples Group Over five decades, the Maples Group has grown from modest beginnings into one of the world's preeminent professional services firms, offering specialised fiduciary, fund administration, regulatory and compliance, entity formation and management and legal services on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey and Luxembourg.
