We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our clients growing team and work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including bridges, public realm improvements, embankment stabilisation, and flood defence schemes.
This role involves delivering high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of civil engineering projects related to bridges, embankments, flood defences, and public spaces.
Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for infrastructure projects.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements.
Oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.
Work collaboratively with local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
Provide technical expertise in structural stability, flood risk management, and embankment reinforcement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and project planning.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (preferred).
Proven experience in bridge construction, flood defence, embankment stabilization, or public realm projects.
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and industry regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar engineering software.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
