Full Job Description
Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the procurement operations within our food manufacturing business. This role involves strategic planning and analysis to ensure a consistent supply of raw materials for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food manufacturing practices and regulatory guidelines and will work within budgetary constraints to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute an effective purchasing strategy.
2. Source high-quality, sustainable raw materials at competitive prices.
3. Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
4. Collaborate with the Quality and Technical Manager on supplier and material evaluation.
5. Oversee purchase orders and goods intake procedures.
6. Plan materials for manufacturing while considering customer demand, warehouse capacity, lead times, and stock levels.
7. Identify and resolve issues related to quality and material delays.
8. Establish efficient processes and controls within the procurement function.
9. Actively participate in and improve stock-taking processes.
10. Enhance IT systems to optimize supply chain efficiency.
11. Drive improvements in supply chain performance by adopting new technologies and staying informed on industry trends.
12. Foster a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and innovation.
13. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement (preferred)
2. Supervisory or management experience.
