Job Description
Working within the End to End Engineering Delivery team, the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead is responsible for leading and directing a portfolio of projects. This includes, but is not exclusive to, New Product Introduction (NPI) (Internal and External), Technology Introduction, Strategic Capacity, Value Capture and Risk Reduction in line with the Value Stream Product Strategy Roadmaps (PSR) and Long-Range Production Plan (LRPP).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:
Project Delivery
* Management of a subset of the project portfolio within the overall End to End Engineering Delivery Project Portfolio with a focus on Strategic Capacity, Value Capture and NPI, including all operations activities for the deployment of these projects. These projects may be cross site or multi-site.
* Ensure that projects are run cost efficiently and deliver manufacturability and reliable products that meet original project scope.
* Provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities to the project sponsors and senior management.
* Identify, budget and report all spend and budget requirements and ensure appropriate financial governance is in place to track and report to senior stakeholders.
* Improve site development capabilities to support future growth & project delivery to business commits.
* Implement required technologies and optimized process steps in a consistent and reliable manner to ensure stable Product Delivery.
* Execute a pipeline of End to End Engineering Delivery Technical Projects to meet or exceed business targets in Quality, Service, Growth and Value, in line with the PSR and Value Capture plan.
* Ensure that all new products & processes are designed and optimized for manufacture, that process validations are fully complete and that all related process documentation is in place prior to manufacturing startup and/or product launch.

* Manage, develop and lead a team in a manner that will facilitate employee development; identifying training needs, stretch assignments and opportunities for development.
* Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance, to ensure delivery of exceptional performance to internal and external customers.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum 6 years postgraduate experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
* Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device is preferred.
* Six Sigma certification or 4 years of experience preferred.
* Experience in Medical Device technologies such as CNC Machining, Finishing Processes, Product Coating, Injection Moulding and Packaging will be an advantage.
* Level 8 (or equivalent) Degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree.
* Previous project management & people management expertise with proven track record of delivery of projects/programs.
* Demonstrated ability to understand technical issues and provide practical and cost-effective engineering solutions in a timely manner.
* Strong Validation Knowledge.
Additional Position Requirements:
* Must be willing to support global projects including some travel.
* Participates in and understands compliance related activities pertaining to the job assignment including compliance with the Quality System Regulation (QSR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and applicable Work Instructions.
* Follows all laws and policies as they apply to one's job and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.

Location & Travel Requirements
Location: Cork, Ireland
* This position may require an average of 10% travel domestically and internationally.
