Your Future Role
Maintaining customer relations and ensuring effective communication as every project we work on is unique and bespoke. You will need to develop strong and effective working relations with all project stakeholders, and ensure they are informed and updated as the project progresses.
Assist in project planning, follow-up, coordination, risk management, budget control and reporting. You will be taking ownership of these activities on major projects across Ireland & UK.
Coordination of the project team – Collaborate with the Contract Manager / Project Manager coordinating the activities of the GLF project teams.
Scope of Duties:
1. Upon handover from the Commercial / Estimating Department, assist with control and co-ordination of the programme.
2. Communicate effectively in writing and in meetings, to manage the relationship between GLF, subcontractors and the Customer.
3. Assist GLF Contract Manager / Project Manager to achieve best use of available resources.
4. Follow-up programme with the team and agree design / procurement programme.
5. Liaise with GLF Project Manager, Procurement and Production team, to ensure compliance with the programme.
6. Assist GLF Contract Manager / Project Manager to prepare Project Execution Plans, Quality Plans and RAMS.
7. Attend site as required, assisting with the Project Manager & Site management.
8. Liaise with Subcontractors & Directly-employed installers.
9. Collaborate to implement and maintain the project quality plan for each project during the design and construction phases.
10. Attend fortnightly project meetings, reporting on Health & Safety, Programme and Quality matters pertaining to each project.
11. Issue regular project reports.
12. Review and agree sub-contract installers’ payment applications and accounts, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
13. Assist Estimating / Commercial team where necessary, with advice on construction issues.
14. Collaborate in the compilation and submission of the O&M Manuals / Safety Files.

1. Main Contractor’s Project Manager and Site Manager.
2. GLF Contract Manager, Project Manager and Design team.
3. GLF Site Manager / Foreman.
4. GLF Sub-Contract Installers & Directly-employed installers.
5. GLF Head Office Team, including Technical Director, Commercial Manager, Production Manager, Purchasing, Accounts, etc.
Key Skills and Knowledge
1. A higher education in Architecture/Engineering/Construction.
2. Experience of working in the field of construction or Architectural design (curtain walling).
3. Good planning, communication and negotiation skills.
4. The ability to represent the company in English (at least B2 level).
5. The ability to unite and motivate the project team and encourage the pursuit of the same goals.
