Our client the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is seeking a Money Tools and Financial Content Manager (HEO).
The Role:
The Money Tools and Financial Content Manager will work in the Website and Digital Content Unit of the Communications Division, which is responsible for maintaining and developing the CCPC’s website: ccpc.ie. This role requires an individual with an excellent knowledge of personal finance products and the ability to build constructive working relations and influence others.
The post holder will be responsible for developing engaging online resources and content to support consumers to make positive financial choices. They will also engage with relevant stakeholders both within the CCPC and externally including policymakers, regulators and industry to ensure the information and resources on CCPC.ie are relevant, accurate and understandable.
The Money Tools and Financial Content Manager will report to the Head of Unit of Website and Digital Content and will be responsible for managing one direct report.
The Successful Candidate:
The successful candidate will require very strong communications skills with the ability to develop engaging online resources and content to support consumers to make positive financial choices. They will have the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, working across different subject areas and deadlines, while using strong interpersonal skills to build constructive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Strategy
1. Developing a strategy for the future development of the CCPC Money Tools, to ensure best in class user experience and outcomes.
2. Scoping and planning new Money Tools and other engaging resources for consumers.
3. Maintaining an expert knowledge of developments in products, services and providers in the financial services sector.
4. Working with internal stakeholders, including legal, to ensure all policies and procedures are reviewed and fit for purpose.
Content Creation
1. Planning and managing a schedule of updates and enhancements to the personal finance content on ccpc.ie in collaboration with the Financial Education unit, including the Money Tools.
2. Drafting and editing a range of personal finance communications outputs, including website content, website news stories, briefing documents and stakeholder communications, in collaboration with the Financial Education unit.
3. Ensuring continuous auditing of data on Money Tools to ensure product information is up-to date and accurate.
Stakeholder Engagement
1. Working with web development companies, other external agencies, and internal stakeholders to produce accurate, accessible and engaging personal finance content and tools.
2. Identifying and building direct relationships with financial service providers, advisors, and other relevant stakeholders in the industry, as well as other independent providers of comparison tools in Ireland and internationally.
Reporting
1. Analyse, monitor and report on website metrics on a regular basis to evaluate and measure impact.
Essential:
1. A total of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role or roles, with a demonstrated understanding of the issues and challenges facing consumers around their finances.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information needs of various audiences and create or adapt solutions to meet those needs.
3. Experience of managing projects and demonstrating strong organisational skills.
4. Experience of building constructive work relations and influencing others.
5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
6. Experience developing communications materials and online content suitable for consumer audiences.
Desirable:
1. Experience of using website content management tools and others, as relevant, e.g. WordPress, Adobe, Visio, Canva.
2. Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) or similar.
3. Previous experience of managing a team.
