About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Galway. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Health & Safety Manager and collaborate closely with contracting teams, subcontractors, and site managers to maintain high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies.
">
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and behavioral safety through regular training sessions, including toolbox talks, induction training, and annual safety presentations.
">
* Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions.
">
* Lead accident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting to the Health & Safety Authority as required by law.
">
* Manage and support the implementation of Safe T Cert and ISO 45001 management systems across various projects.
">
* Liaise with subcontractors and project teams to ensure adherence to safety documentation and procedures.
">
* Prepare and deliver regular health and safety reports, including audit schedules, performance data, and management review packages.
">
* Manage the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Program and ensure compliance at all sites.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
">
">
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, or Engineering.
">
* At least 3 years' experience in health and safety within the manufacturing, quarrying, construction, or road maintenance industries.
">
* A strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, Safe T Cert, and relevant Irish safety regulations (SHWWA 2005).
">
* Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.

* Proven experience in auditing, risk assessments, and safety performance monitoring.
