Operations Manager – Sustainability & Circular Economy Spraoi agus Spórt is recruiting for a Operations Manager – Sustainability & Circular Economy.
CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent position, following completion of a 6-month probationary period, with a 37.5-hour working week (a 4-day working week may be considered), subject to funding.SALARY: The successful candidate can expect to earn in the region of €60,000 - €65,000, commensurate with experience.LOCATION: The position will be based in Carndonagh, Inishowen, Co. Donegal.
The nature of the role is such that a presence on-site is important, however limited hybrid working options (max 1 day/week) may be considered once the initial probationary period is completed, but this will be subject to the requirements of the role and the organisation's service users.ABOUT THE ORGANISATION Spraoi agus Spórt is a multi-award-winning social enterprise and registered charity based in Carndonagh, Co. THE ROLE This role is the next step in growing the Spraoi agus Spórt Senior Management Team.
The successful candidate will lead the development and management of Spraoi agus Spórt's sustainability work through its Garden Centre & Nursery, Circular Economy Hub, Bioeconomy Hub, and additional community-focused sustainability initiatives.
The role will be instrumental in making the Garden Centre & Nursery a destination store, as well as managing furniture upcycling, paint recycling, bicycle upcycling, tech upcycling, repair café and the Toy Library within the Circular Economy Hub, and overseeing the Síoraí retail shops, Síoraí Clothing and Síoraí Home.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial management of their department, ensuring alignment with other areas of the organisation, and with its mission and values.
