Collections Officer Our client are looking for a Collections Officer to join their growing team.
This role is a permanent, full-time position based in Galway.
We are looking for a Collections Officer with specialised experience in hire purchase, leasing and loans to play a pivotal role in their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing collections activities related to various accounts.
Responsibilities :
Manage a portfolio of hire purchase and leasing accounts, including monitoring payment schedules, and following up on overdue payments.
Initiate effective and empathetic communication with customers to understand their financial situations and negotiate repayment plans.
Implement collection strategies tailored to hire purchase and leasing agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries, disputes, and concerns related to hire purchase and leasing accounts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection efforts, payment arrangements, and customer interactions.
Key Requirements:
APA Qualification is required.
Proven experience as a Collections Officer with a focus on the financial or credit management sector.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, coupled with a customer-centric approach.
Ability to handle sensitive conversations and difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
Proficiency in using collection management software and tools.
Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Problem-solving attitude and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
