We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established manufacturing company selling in the construction, industrial, and retail sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position covering the Munster territory. The Area Sales Manager will drive and nurture sales, develop sales strategies, and expand the market share. The ideal candidate will come from a background in technical sales and specification work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term sales strategies.
2. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
3. Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, addressing underperformance proactively.
4. Lead Area Sales contact for key customers, ensuring high satisfaction, prompt query responses, and managing complaints.
5. Identify and win new sales opportunities.
6. Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs for allocated accounts and products.
7. Monitor the market, understand competition, create a competitive edge, and convey business goals into sales results.
Requirements:
1. Proven successful experience in a technical sales role.
2. Experience selling to construction, glazing, façade industries is desirable.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Clean, valid drivers’ license.
5. Analytical with good presentation skills.
6. Ability to work independently, using own initiative to organise, plan and complete own tasks.
7. Ambitious and driven attitude.
8. IT literate – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
