Your New Company
A medium sized mechanical and electrical contractor with a turnover of €20+ million, based in Dublin. They work on a wide variety of projects including apartments, hotels, fitouts, and office blocks along with some industrial work. They have two residential mixed-use projects that are about to start in Dublin and are looking to add a senior member of staff to their mechanical division that will oversee these projects. They work with a selected number of main contractors and win repeat business directly from clients in the hospitality sector and residential developers.
Your New Role
* Scheduling, assigning, planning, and monitoring the work of electrical personnel and sub-contractors.
* Planning and developing work schedules and procedures for the project works.
* Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure compatibility with electrical wiring regulations and standards.
* Preparing material and labour estimates for change works.
* Monitoring and controlling the deliveries and use/distribution of materials.
* Inspecting installed works for quality and conformance to specification.
* Maintaining records of progress via redline mark-ups.
* Ensuring safety regulations and standards are maintained on site.
* Delivering daily toolbox talks.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position.
* National Craft Certificate.
* Current Safepass Certificate.
* First Aid Responder Certificate (optional but preferred).
* Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
* Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
* Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
* Knowledge of electrical applications for low and extra low voltage electrical systems.
* Skill in the installation of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
* Skill in estimating time and material requirements for assigned work projects.
* Proficient in MS Packages in particular MS Word, Excel, and Outlook/Project, AutoCAD.
* Must have a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Excellent communication, verbal and written.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
