Head of Operations
We are partnering with a key player in the region within Warehousing and Distribution to recruit a Head of Operations for their site in County Monaghan.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the Operations function across both of their key facilities, focusing on Warehousing, Distribution, and Production, with the goal of exceeding customer expectations in an efficient and cost-effective way.
As Head of Operations, you will be at the forefront of ensuring excellent customer service, driving performance, and leading the operational teams across both sites.
People management will be at the core of this role, as you will be supporting the team to deliver operational success.
* Own and execute the Operations business plan to achieve operational goals.
* Lead and influence the operational team to meet growth targets, ensuring appropriate resources and investments are in place.
* Provide visible leadership, setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable for performance.
* Ensure operational excellence in performance, service delivery, financial management, and compliance.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure alignment on business goals, priorities, and initiatives.
* Champion Health & Safety and create a strong safety culture within the team.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operations team.
* Oversee cost management and budget control, with a focus on maximising profitability through resource optimisation.
* Monitor legal compliance and internal qualification standards.
* Lead regular communication of business performance and provide support to the Site GM.
* Contribute to customer relations by attending joint meetings with the Commercial team, ensuring customer concerns are addressed and corrective actions are taken.
Requirements
* Experience managing operational teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment (ideally within warehousing, logistics, or food industries).
* Experienced leader with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams in a high-paced environment.
* Strong influencing and communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
* Commercially driven with a focus on customer service and bottom-line performance.
* Strong change management skills.
* Proven track record in managing budgets and KPIs.
