We have an excellent opportunity as an Sector Support Executive in the Marketing, Communications, and Sectors Team at Engineers Ireland.
With a membership of over 25,000 across the island of Ireland and overseas, Engineers Ireland is dedicated to promoting and advancing all disciplines of engineering.
We collaborate closely with industry, educational institutions, state bodies, and the public sector to advocate for the engineering profession and its vital role in sustainable development.
Our Regional Branches, Engineering Divisions, and Societies, collectively known as our Sectors, are core to the organisation, and serve to exchange knowledge and ideas through CPD events, such as webinars and in person events.
We are currently seeking a Sector Support Executive to join our team in supporting the work of our 35 volunteer-led Sectors.
As part of a dedicated team of three, this role will serve as a key liaison between the Sectors and Engineers Ireland, fostering strong relationships and engaging on important industry topics.
The successful candidate will coordinate a dynamic schedule of events and webinars, as well as organise in-person meetings.
Given the nature of the role, flexibility is required as some events take place outside of normal working hours.
Flexibility will be required to accommodate occasional evening events in line with the schedule.
Main Duties & Responsibilities include: Build and maintain relationships with committees, members and other key stakeholders.
Manage the lifecycle of Sector events including scheduling, event promotion, onsite or online /technical support and post event follow up.
Collaborate closely with Committees at Region, Division and Society level.
Actively participate in Liaison Committee meetings.
Support and grow assigned Sectors by providing leadership and support to the committee, event management and promotion and ensuring alignment with the organisations strategic goals.
Play an active part in achieving agreed team goals and objectives and participate in Engineers Ireland cross-functional teams as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have: 35 years of relevant experience, ideally within a membership-based or professional services organisation.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences across our membership community.
Exceptional project management and organisational abilities, ensuring smooth coordination of multiple initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with experience using video editing software and online mailing tools.
A proactive and solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
A high level of initiative, energy, and motivation, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
