It's why we're looking for someone who's just as committed as we are, to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life.We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.Electrical Shift TechnicianLocation: Blanchardstown, Co DublinDuration: PermanentOverview of the role:We are seeking a highly motivated and safety conscious individual with an electrical background to join our on our critical utilities hard services maintenance and calibrations contract for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical company’s based in Dublin.The utilities shift technician is responsible to ensure that all utilities equipment in his charge for the duration of shift is available at all times, and all alarms and deviations are responded to and resolved or litigated as efficiently as possibleDay to day of the role:All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelinesOperation and monitoring of site critical utilities systemsFirst line and scheduled maintenance for utilities equipmentIn conjunction with shift team and shift lead, ensure all equipment deviations are responded to, reported and escalated as per site procedures in the first instanceLiaise with subcontractors during planned service maintenance.Ensure that all work permits are reviewed and signed as area owner by the relevant shift membersCompletion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelinesDelivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements;Assist engineering support team in the update of Utilities Standard Operating Procedures and ensure training is carried out with Operations Teams.Be fully aware of the terms of the site IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention Control) licence and ensure that all actions/operations on site are within the terms.Ensure training curricula is kept up to date with client requirements, i.e. SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), EWI’s (Engineering Work Instructions), etc.Carryout Investigations on utilities equipment, identify problem areas and assist in improvement proceduresLiaise closely with the site utilities Engineering Support TeamIn conjunction with shift team and shift lead, ensure all issues over shift are communicated to the oncoming shift in a smooth and efficient mannerAssist maintenance departments with planned and unplanned shutdowns.Professional and courteous interaction with all personnel on siteUpdate stores spare lists as appropriateParticipate in utilities reliability programs Participate in local reviews of maintenance performance data using published maintenance excellence KPI results, areas that will be reviewed and improvements sought:High levels of paperworkPM:CM ratioMaintenance man-hours per equipment/systemMTBFMTTREquipment reliability trendsAny other activities as directed by the Veolia Contract Manager or Shift LeadRequired skills for this role:Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.Minimum 2 years’ experience post qualification in industrial utilities, preferably in pharmaceuticalsGood Initiative and Pro-active attitude in approach to dutiesMust be able to organize and prioritize tasks; must be detail orientated and self-motivated.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performedEssential:Maintenance and operational experience of pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, (DHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, CIP systems, Low /Medium voltage Electrical Systems Building Management Systems (BMC/QBMS/MCS/ECS/EMS)Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems.Experience with and understanding PLC and SCADA control systemsWork within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.Work within a documented Permit to Work SystemComputer literateAbility to read and understand P&ID’s.Understanding of SOP’s and GMP Engineering systems.Understanding of Basic Instrumentation Must be able to demonstrate hands on experience with detailed knowledge/skill in the following area’s:Team Player.Attention to detailMethodical & Analytical approach to work.
