A global engagement survey conducted in 2022, responded to by 3,577 of our staff, showed that 89% of our staff would happily recommend Concern as a great place to work and 94% are proud to tell people that they work for Concern.Our office is located in Dublin 2 and we are currently working a hybrid model (50% remote working) and offer flexi time.The job: The Management Accountant will provide management accounting support to the ROI finance team, provide financial services support to ROI budget holders and provide monthly reports and support to Country Programme Finance teams.Job Location: DublinIf you join us, your responsibilities will be : Preparation and distribution of monthly intercompany schedules to overseas fields and provide related supportProviding management accounting services including the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budget preparation, budget revisions and statutory reporting functionsProviding comprehensive, high quality analysis to aid and support business decision makersComplete monthly reconciliations and analysis of specific Balance Sheet accounts including Debtors and CreditorsMaintenance of Fixed Asset Register and related statutory reportingManaging annual VAT reclaim with the Revenue CommissionersContribute in the review of finance processes to drive system optimisation and process improvementManaging the income integration from the Concern Overseas Grant Management System to the finance systemProviding support during the annual audit to tight deadlinesSupporting Finance Manager and wider finance team in general financial management Skills you will bring:Essential: Applicants should have a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in a commercial environmentStrong accounting knowledgeExperience of month end close, functional reporting and preparation of statutory accounts and / or branch reporting experienceExperience in annual budget preparation and budget revisionsExcellent organisation skills: ability to plan and organise work so that it is efficient and effectiveGood Microsoft Office Skills; with strong word and excel skillsClear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationshipsApplicants must be able to demonstrate good motivational skills and be committed to working in an effective team environment.Flexible and adaptable to changeEmpathy with the organisational goals of Concern Worldwide is essential Desirable: Previous accounting experience in the same type of organisation is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of Microsoft Great PlainsExperience in/proven record of process improvements This role will be based in the Dublin office with a salary from €54,500 – €62,286(Band 5).
This is a one year fixed term contract.
