An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Woodlands - Co. Monaghan
Woodlands is a residential home, providing care and support for up to 4 adults with an intellectual disability who may have associated mental illness. Currently, Woodlands provides care and support for up to 4 adult male service users.
The House is a detached 2 storey house located in a quiet cul de sac on the outskirts of Monaghan town.
Woodlands has a team of support workers and 1 team leader. On the whole, there are 2 support workers on duty during the day and 1 support worker is on duty at night time.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full Time contracts available
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €108 per night applies*
A waiting list may be created to fill similar vacancies in this jurisdiction which may arise within 9 months of the interview date.
