Role/ Department:
The role is within Depositary Operations helping to ensure that Northern Trust fulfils its oversight responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD), UCITS V and other regulatory requirements.
The primary responsibilities will be in the area of Depositary Operations.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Interpret information from Investment Managers to gain understanding of an Alternative investment;
2. Coordinate sourcing executed documentation & validate documentation and information;
3. Perform and review Asset Verification activities, sourcing appropriate documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over “Other Assets”;
4. Support the team by actioning various daily processes & team mailbox maintenance;
5. Participate on meetings with relevant internal and external parties;
6. Ability to suggest improvements on processes;
7. Participating in ensuring governance procedures are being adhered to;
8. Gathering data for reporting requirements for both internal and external clients.
Skills/ Qualifications:
1. Good understanding of the Funds Industry a requirement;
2. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties;
3. Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment;
4. Good problem solving skills;
5. Proficient in MS Office.
