The Shona Project is a multi-award-winning national charity, founded in 2016, dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring young Irish girls to become strong, confident, and curious women. Through school workshops, online articles and videos, and our nationally recognised SHINE Festival, we've reached thousands of girls directly and 300,000 girls monthly online. We are building a movement of empowered young women and are seeking a passionate Impact Executive to help drive our mission forward.
About the role:
The Shona Project is looking for a part-time Impact Executive to join our team. The post holder will work to help The Shona Project strengthen its strategic approach to measuring impact and learning. This role is an opportunity for an early-career professional with a passion for impact measurement, research, and evaluation to develop their expertise while receiving structured advisory support and training from The Outcome, an impact consultancy.
They will lead the design, development, and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning strategies and systems. They will work with the team to demonstrate that our activities are implemented effectively and that lessons learned are used to strengthen our work. The post holder will ensure better capturing of impact to input into our strategic planning, for fundraising and for increased sustainability. They will also be responsible for administering our national research projects, engaging with young women and girls across Ireland to capture their experiences, challenges and opinions. They will work closely with the CEO and the team to develop their skills in research, analysis, and reporting.
Job Title: Impact Executive
Location: Hybrid, with occasional attendance in the Waterford office and other national locations as required
Employment Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week (but can be flexible depending on the candidate)
Reports To: CEO
Salary: €33,000- €35,000 PRO RATA Depending on skills and experience
Contract: 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement an impact measurement framework to assess the effectiveness of The Shona Project's programmes, with support from The Outcome.
2. Collect, analyse, and interpret data from workshops, events, and initiatives to track progress and outcomes.
3. Manage our national survey, including assisting with survey design, analysis and reporting, and leading distribution and recruitment efforts..
4. Prepare and present impact reports for funders, stakeholders, and internal teams to demonstrate our achievements and inform strategy.
5. Collaborate with programme teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data-driven decision-making.
6. Support funding applications and reports by providing compelling impact data and insights.
7. Stay up to date with best practices in impact measurement, evaluation, and research methodologies.
8. Engage with young people and community stakeholders to ensure our work reflects their voices and needs.
Who You Are:
9. Passionate about gender equality, youth empowerment, and social impact.
10. Some experience in data collection, research, or impact measurement, either through work, study, or voluntary experience.
11. Comfortable using tools such as Google Suite, Excel, Google Analytics, and other data visualisation platforms.
12. Eager to develop skills in translating data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
13. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
14. A great communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings effectively.
15. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
