The Senior Manager Accounting will be responsible for management of the Inventory Accounting team based in Limerick in connection with the Company’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Limerick and International entities.
A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Reporting of monthly actual results for inventory for the international entities
2. Responsible for Profit in Inventory Elimination for international entities
3. Reviewing and handling the company’s inventory and standard cost system including annual standards' development
4. Reviewing and maintaining company’s inventory and standard cost system Oracle Process Manufacturing
5. Working with Master Data Management to ensure production Recipes / BOM’s are accurate and are reflected in the Standard Costing calculations
6. Reviewing Sub Ledger (Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Revaluation, Order Management)
7. Responsible for coordination and review of quarterly inventory reserves
8. Assisting with all audit requests from internal and external auditors
9. Collaborating closely with the company’s corporate accounting department (monthly, quarterly close)
10. Verifying accuracy of reports produced by team and monthly financial results
11. Driving consistency and standardization of cost accounting in line with Corporate Policies
12. Working closely with IT on the maintenance of Accounting Derivation Rules (ADR) to ensure transactions post accurately
13. Collaborating closely with Regeneron’s corporate and Rensselaer accounting departments
14. Reviewing monthly Project Accounting
15. Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Inventory accounts
16. Assisting in developing and improving internal controls and written policies and procedures as well as ensuring all accurate internal controls are in place in conformity with Sarbanes Oxley

To be considered for this position you must hold a professional accountancy qualification with 10+ years post qualification experience. A minimum of 5 years people management experience is a requirement. Experience ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Knowledge of Oracle Systems a distinct advantage. Exposure to US GAAP an advantage.
