Resource Manager / Workforce Planner (Engineering sector) (Dublin / Hybrid) Leading Engineering Consultancy has exciting opportunity for an experience Resource Manager / Workforce Planner to join their growing team. The successful individual will be responsible for coordinating and optimising workforce planning to support the delivery of Data Centre and high-tech commercial projects. This role requires strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills. You will be managing a resource pool of engineers, tracking staff availability, liaising with hiring managers, and ensuring efficient workforce distribution. The successful individual will have the following: A degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in resource coordination, workforce planning, or project support, ideally within engineering, construction, or consultancy environments. Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to track workforce capacity and manage resource allocation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with managers across different departments. Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a structured approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with engineering project lifecycles and workforce planning principles would be advantageous. Experience using Excel for workforce planning - knowledge of SAP or other planning tools advantageous. Experience in managing contractor allocations and timesheet approvals would be advantageous. Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential for effective collaboration. Reporting to the COO and working closely with Project Managers, Operational Directors, Associate Directors HR & Finance responsibilities will include: Tracking and updating workforce availability using Excel-based planning tools integrated with SAP. Prepare and present weekly dashboard reports on staff utilisation and workforce planning. Coordinate with hiring management team to assign staff based on project needs and budgets. Strategically allocate personnel resources based on the companys predefined skills matrix. Manage short-term and long-term resourcing needs. Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees. Facilitate six-monthly performance reviews for the resource pool and supporting discussions on career progression. Assess workforce capabilities and identifying skill gaps to ensure optimal individual career progression. Approve contractor timesheets and liaising with external staffing providers when additional resources are required.
