Qualifications:
1. Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying
2. 10+ years’ experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:
2. Managing the tender bid from receipt of tender enquiry to submission of final bid
3. Managing and coordinating a team on large bids
4. Undertaking careful inspection of tender documents including bills of quantities, specifications, contracts, etc.
5. Working closely with the Estimating Team in the preparation of tender enquiries for issue to the market
6. Working within the agreed procurement strategy
7. Collating quotes for comparison and selection for inclusion in the priced tender
8. Conducting risk identification, value management, and cost control
9. Meeting with key stakeholders and subcontractors throughout the tender period
10. Developing standard prelim allowances for inclusion in the priced tender
11. Working closely with the Bid and Contracts Managers and wider Operations Team to determine site logistics and prelim allowances
12. Preparing budgets and cost plans in a similar manner to priced tenders
13. Presenting the priced tender to the Board of Directors at adjudication stage
14. Preparing for pre and post tender meetings
15. Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use; and assessing the implications of health and safety regulations
16. The ability to prepare tenders with little oversight while meeting strict deadlines
17. Preparing a project handover file and presenting to the project team
Skills:
Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer the necessary paperwork.
