Unijobs on behalf of our client are currently recruiting for a role, for that of administrator/Secretary within the Ballinasloe/Loughrea Region.
The role is a Temporary role - month to month contract with the possibility of extension thereafter.
This position requires the successful candidate to have previous administration experience.
The working week will consist of 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday, with the hourly rate of €15 - €17 per hour depending on experience.
The succesful candidate would require a flexibile approach to work as this role may include shift work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

This post encompasses secretarial administrative duties and responsibilities, which include, but is not limited to the following:
**Typing letters and documents.
Excellent administrative skills required.
* Answering telephone calls from service users and dealing with their queries, including redirecting calls to necessary departments for rescheduling, cancelling, and making appointments.
Dictaphone typing Ensure that service users are treated with dignity and respect.
Ensuring that all queries at reception, for example deliveries, public queries, visitors are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Professionally assist staff and visitors.
Liaise between departments with discretion and professionalism.
Ensure the efficient day-to-day administration of area of responsibility.
Promote and maintain a customer focused environment including monitoring efficiency of service provided by the team and notifying Line Manager of any deficiencies.
Act on feedback from service users and report same to Line Management.
Update information on various computer systems.
Perform general administrative tasks as required by the employer.
Support the preparation of reports often to tight deadlines.
Any other administrative support as requested.
Any other duties that may be assigned
Essential Criteria:
Previous clerical/administration experience supporting a busy department.
Trained in touch typing.
Proficient typing experience with a minimum of 50 WPM.
Must have good IT and MS Office skills.
Must have excellent data processing and attention to detail skills.
Must have planning, organising and diary management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in demanding, fast paced environments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service, organisation, and communication skills.
