Assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment plans for patients in orthopaedics, medical, surgical, and the medical assessment unit.
Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapists and students.
Drive service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Promote functional independence through rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning.
Educate patients and their families about therapy goals and progress.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies.
Participate in service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements: CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist (Essential).
A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, with at least 1 year in an acute hospital setting.
Strong clinical skills, particularly in orthopaedics, surgical, and medical rehabilitation.
Leadership and mentoring experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and work effectively within a team.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
