Your new company is an international engineering firm with a presence in over 30 countries across the globe. Having set up a new office in Ireland last year, they are looking to scale up their Irish business and are hiring a Financial Controller to help them grow and streamline at a pivotal point.
About the Role
You will report directly to the General Manager of the Irish business and your role will involve:
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in different entities and countries across the wider group
* Lead the integration of a newly acquired company into the group - managing relationships, streamlining processes, manage system migration, build out reporting templates
* Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting for subsidiary company, reporting into parent company of group
* Ensure full compliance across statutory audit
* Responsible for all tax compliance - VAT, Corporation Tax etc
* Liaising with project managers to track and report on projects
About You
You will be an experienced accountant, ideally fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA) but if you have relevant Engineering and Construction industry experience, they will consider qualified by experience accountants also
Must have experience integrating a newly acquired into a group company, with understanding of a parent group with subsidiaries structure
A hands-on accountant who is happy to get into the detail
Finance transformation experience such as system migrations and designing reporting templates desired
The candidate must display a strong and proactive personality with a solutions-first mindset
Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments, countries and group companies
What You'll Get in Return
You will receive a very competitive starting salary of between €75,000-€90,000
