Energy Engineer

Candidates should meet the following criteria:
1. A Minimum Level 7 Degree in Energy Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Building services etc.) with a good understanding and experience in Building Services Engineering.
2. 3+ years of work experience in the Building Services/Sustainable Energy Industry.
3. Working knowledge of Design Builder/IESVE tool (Integrated Environmental Solutions) to include energy consumption calculations, ModelIT, ApacheSim, CIBSE Loads, MacroFlo and Radiance IES.
4. Knowledge of ASHRAE/CIBSE guides, Building Regulations specifically TGD Part L dwelling & non-dwellings.
5. Good understanding of ISO 50001 and renewable technologies.
6. Experience with BREEAM, LEED, TGD-033 Department of Education guidance's advantageous.
7. BER assessor qualifications distinct advantage.
8. Excellent report writing skills.
9. Experience in AUTOCAD, REVIT desirable.
10. Ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively to deadlines and be a good team player.
11. Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
12. Motivated and have an enthusiasm for energy management.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Undertake energy modelling in IES VE.
2. Calculate the heating/cooling loads in the building.
3. Carry out daylight analysis, overheating analysis, Part L compliance and BER.
4. Calculate energy consumption and savings in the building.
5. Supporting clients with implementation of energy objectives and targets.
6. Identify energy saving opportunities and measures.
7. Carry out energy survey, audits of the building.
8. Prepare energy reports and desktop analyses.
9. Daily/Weekly updates internally to senior management.
