Our client, a leading supplier for consumer goods, healthcare and industrial companies around the world, is seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Co Ordinator to support their expanding operations.
Job Summary Work under limited supervision, obtain competitive quotes, negotiate prices, recommends vendor selection, purchases goods, Customer services and maintains supply of stock items to meet the Company's requisition needs.
Oversees plant needs to include maintenance and related operations.
Knowledge | Experience | Skills Diploma / Degree in business or related field preferred but knowledge and experience of this role will also be considered Experience in purchasing / Customer service and/or inventory preferred Ability to be self-motivated and work independently Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Problem solving and organizational skills Excellent communication skills Ability to mentor or train other purchasing agents Essential Duties & Responsibilities Customer Service and all related administration tasks – Order confirmations, dispatch notes, credit notes, invoices and shipping documents,other duties will be developed with your manager Responsible for adherence to Purchasing policies and procedures Executes buying strategies as defined by Supply Chain Manager Evaluate vendor reliability and follows up on any problems regarding the use of purchased items Purchase materials in line with inventory targets Track the status of orders communicating and expediting as needed Maintain the accuracy of the BOM related to their products Internal communication with different departments Assist in resolving issues regarding damaged/inferior products, returns, invoice discrepancies, etc Identify savings opportunities and secure the best pricing options Maintain strong communication with suppliers; resolve issues in a timely manner Work with Management requestors within the plant on any urgent/expedited situations Proactively mitigate any potential problems in the supply of materials Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products Assisting the Supply Chain Manager with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basis Effectively communicating with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate In charge of Freight shipments where required Manage and implement cycle counting Manage and negotiate all non-stock purchases Determine and track Purchasing KPI's These are intended to be illustrative only and not a definitive list of duties.
