About your new company
We are currently working with a medium sized mechanical and electrical contractor based in the Dublin area. The company has a turnover in excess of €40 million and takes pride in developing their staff while providing high-class engineering solutions to their clients. The company has an impressive portfolio of clients in the healthcare, commercial, data centre, and industrial sectors. They are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to their project teams in Dublin.
About Your New Job
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily works from an engineering point of view, including ensuring quality control and managing the day-to-day operations on-site. You will work closely with supervisors, site managers, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. You will report to the Project Manager on this job. Some of your duties will include:
* Develop a daily action plan that includes HSEQ.
* Assist the project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
* Maintain a site diary.
* Attend/Chair internal meetings with sub-contractors.
* Ensure that all variations are picked up in conjunction with PM and QS.
* Ensure labour allocation sheets are being completed by sub-contractors.
What Skills & Requirements You Need
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical construction with an established contractor.
* Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering degree.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building regulations, and construction standards.
