You will join an established Calibration department within the LotusWorks business.
As a Senior Calibration Coordinator with the LotusWorks team, you will be responsible for organising and scheduling calibration activities on-site, while collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure equipment uptime is maximised.
Responsibilities
* Execute scheduling and planning of all Calibration & Maintenance activities.
* Perform scheduled calibrations according to client and LotusWorks procedures for facilities and process calibration.
* Respond to and assist production in the event of faulty or unscheduled equipment that has failed or is out of specification to ensure production requirements are met.
* Interact professionally with client area owners and all client staff to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance activities are completed in an efficient manner within agreed time schedules.
* Plan equipment downtime when necessary for on-line calibrations or vendor availability.
* Follow all procedures related to overdue/quarantined equipment to ensure compliance from a calibration department perspective.
* Adhere to calibration discrepancy procedures and follow up on calibrated items that have been escalated.
* Follow decommissioning procedures and follow up on items that cannot be fixed.
* Provide suggestions for continuous improvement in processes and calibration activities.
* Assist in audits and investigations as required.
* Maintain organised and controlled documentation in compliance with GAMP and FDA regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to facilitate calibration activities.
* Update Calibration Management software as necessary.
* Ensure training is up to date.
* Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required
* Relevant experience in scheduling and planning
* Calibration experience essential
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and engineering documentation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work successfully within a team while also demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
* Proficiency in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
* Qualified Craft Technician (Instrumentation) or a metrology qualification or appropriate 3rd level qualification.
* City & Guilds 225 Parts 1, 2 & 3, or Level 6 or higher in Industrial Automation & Controls, Applied Physics and Instrumentation, or Metrology.
* Safe Pass required.
