Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning and successful delivery of contracts in County Tipperary, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a calm and methodical approach to workload, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Chair regular meetings with project teams to ensure progress aligns with planned programme.
* Provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress and advise on any variances.
* In conjunction with the Head of Contracts, ensure all financial information is relevant, accurate, and on time.
* Attend sub-contractor and client meetings to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
* Produce detailed on-site programmes and report progress against these.
* Pre-plan material, manning, and equipment levels required for site programme.
* Provide technical support at tender stage.
* Take responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects.
* Lead design management and review on design and build projects.
* Assist Site Managers with managing sub-contractors and their recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
* Oversee allocation of trades and labour, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Follow up on unacceptable sub-contractor or supplier performance.
* Sustain adherence to Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Liaise with Quality department to dispose of rejected materials.
Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree.
* Experience in a similar role and industry.
* Full clean driving licence for Ireland.
* Proficiency in Microsoft packages including Word and Teams.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Basic understanding of construction contractual terms.
* Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
* Excellent client and project management skills.
* Ability to motivate and empower others.
* Financial awareness and cost control.
* Effective active listening and public speaking skills.
* Strong communicator with empathy and emotional intelligence.
